By disassociating from the name it is commonly known throughout the world, “Mormons”, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has distanced itself from being associated with the Prophet Joseph Smith. After all, he is widely known as the “Mormon Prophet”. There is 189 years of tradition behind that connection. The “Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Prophet” just doesn’t have the same ring to it. People may not be able to make the connection, but… wait a minute, maybe that is part of the plan? The devil’s work may certainly be involved there somewhere.(1) Just saying….
